The terms governing your purchase and use of ChequeMaster. Please read alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ChequeMaster.com website, purchasing a license, or downloading, installing, or using the ChequeMaster desktop software (collectively, the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered account holders, and paying customers. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

About ChequeMaster

ChequeMaster.com ("ChequeMaster", "we", "us", "our") is a Windows desktop cheque printing and management product. It is operated by ANILKUMAR CHANDRAKANT SUTHAR, an individual proprietor — not an incorporated company, registered firm, or partnership. All rights, obligations, and liabilities under these Terms are held by and attributed to this individual operator.

Operator details:
Legal Name: ANILKUMAR CHANDRAKANT SUTHAR

How ChequeMaster Works

ChequeMaster is desktop software, not a web application. The process is:

  • You purchase a license from our website.
  • You download and install the software on your Windows PC.
  • You receive a license key from the website.
  • You use the license key to activate the software.

Once activated, the software operates entirely on your own computer. Your cheque, payee, and business data is created and stored only on your computer and is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Account Registration

  • To purchase a license and access your orders, you must create an account by providing your full name, email address, and country. You may optionally add profile details such as your mobile number and address.
  • You warrant that all information provided at registration and in your profile is accurate, current, and complete, and you are responsible for keeping it up to date.
  • You must not register on behalf of another person without their consent, or use false identity information.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at chequemaster.com@gmail.com.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limitations, restrictions, or bans is prohibited.

License & Payments

  • One-time payment. The purchase of a ChequeMaster license is a one-time payment. The license remains valid for a lifetime.
  • What the purchase includes: 6 (six) months of technical support and 6 (six) months of software updates from the date of purchase.
  • After the initial 6-month period: we may continue to provide support and software updates; however, these are not guaranteed. Future versions may not maintain backward compatibility, and future versions may not support restoration of data created in older versions.
  • Current pricing is available on the Pricing page. All prices are net amounts; no discounts will be applied unless explicitly stated during a promotional period. Prices are subject to change, and changes will not affect a license you have already paid for.
  • Payment methods. You may pay via PayPal, direct bank transfer, or UPI / QR code. For bank transfer and UPI / QR payments, you provide the transaction reference and we manually verify and activate your license after the funds are received. Cashfree: To be added.
  • All payments are processed by third-party payment providers. ChequeMaster does not store your card details. By completing a payment, you agree to the terms of the applicable payment provider.
  • You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies applicable to your purchase in your jurisdiction. Our prices are exclusive of any such taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Once a payment has been confirmed and processed, it is non-cancellable, except within the 7-day window described in our Refund Policy.

License Activation Policy

  • One license can be activated on only one PC at a time.
  • If you format your PC or purchase a new computer and need to move your license to a different device, you must contact our support team.
  • On receiving your request, we will deactivate the old device and authorize the new device from our server.
  • Only after this authorization can the software be activated on the new PC.

Attempting to bypass, tamper with, or circumvent the activation and licensing mechanism is a breach of these Terms and may result in deactivation of your license.

Data Migration Policy

Transferring your data from an old PC to a new PC is a manual process:

  • You must contact us for assistance with migration.
  • You must still have access to the old computer in order to copy the backup files from it.

If the old computer or its data is unavailable:

  • Data restoration is not possible.
  • We cannot recover your data because we never store it on our servers.
  • We are not liable for any data loss resulting from the absence of a backup.

Supported Operating System

ChequeMaster supports Windows 10 and newer versions of Windows. No other operating systems are currently supported.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your computer runs a supported version of Windows before purchasing. The software is not guaranteed to function on unsupported operating systems.

Permitted Use

  • You may use the software to print and manage cheques for your own personal use or for the internal operations of the business or employer you represent.
  • You may export and retain cheque data, records, and reports generated by the software for your own records and internal accounting purposes.
  • Your use of the software must at all times comply with applicable laws, including laws relating to financial instruments, cheque writing, and anti-fraud regulations in your jurisdiction.

Legal notice: ChequeMaster is a tool for legitimate cheque management. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any cheque produced using this software accurately reflects a genuine, authorized financial transaction. Using this software to produce fraudulent, forged, or unauthorized cheques is a criminal offence.

Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited. Violation of any of these restrictions may result in immediate deactivation or permanent termination of your license without notice or refund.

  • Fraud and forgery: Using the software to produce fraudulent, forged, or unauthorized cheques, or to engage in cheque kiting or any other financial fraud.
  • Unauthorized access: Attempting to access our systems, licensing servers, or any data you are not authorized to access.
  • Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to extract the source code, algorithms, or underlying logic of the software, or tampering with its licensing and activation mechanism.
  • Resale and redistribution: Reselling, sublicensing, redistributing, or otherwise commercializing the software or your license without prior written authorization from ChequeMaster.
  • License sharing: Sharing, publishing, or distributing your license key, or using it on more than one computer at a time.
  • Malware: Introducing any virus, malware, or other malicious code through the software or our website.
  • Unauthorized reproduction of content: Copying, reproducing, or redistributing any part of the software, its bank layout templates, design, or content for any purpose other than your permitted personal or internal business use.

Intellectual Property

  • All content within the ChequeMaster website and software — including but not limited to text, graphics, layout and interface design, code, scripts, bank layout templates, cheque format data, and other materials — is the proprietary intellectual property of ChequeMaster.com. All rights are reserved unless otherwise expressly indicated.
  • Upon purchase, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the software for its intended purpose on one computer at a time. No ownership of, or permanent rights to, any intellectual property of ChequeMaster is transferred to you.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from any part of the software without prior written permission from ChequeMaster.
  • The name "ChequeMaster", the ChequeMaster logo, and the domain chequemaster.com are proprietary identifiers. You may not use them in any way that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or partnership without express written permission.

Your Data & Backups

  • You retain full ownership of the cheque records, payee information, and other content you create within the software ("Your Data"). Your Data resides only on your own computer.
  • We do not store, back up, or have any access to Your Data. The software is completely offline with respect to the data you create.
  • Because we never hold a copy of Your Data, we are not responsible for its backup or recovery. You are solely responsible for creating and maintaining your own backups.
  • We are not liable for any loss of Your Data resulting from hardware failure, formatting, loss or theft of your computer, or the absence of a backup.

Backup disclaimer: Do not rely on ChequeMaster as the sole record of your financial data. Regularly export and retain your own backups of cheque records and transaction history. For details on how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

Software Availability, Updates & Modifications

  • The installed software runs on your own computer and does not require a constant connection to us; however, activation, verification, updates, and notification checks require our licensing servers to be reachable. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability of these servers.
  • Software updates are provided for 6 months from purchase as described above, and thereafter at our discretion. We may add, modify, or remove features in future versions, with or without notice.
  • Future versions may not maintain backward compatibility and may not support restoration of data created in older versions.
  • ChequeMaster is not liable to you or any third party for any loss or inconvenience arising from any modification, update, or discontinuation of the software or its supporting services.

License Suspension & Termination

Termination by You. You may stop using the software at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, contact us at chequemaster.com@gmail.com. Deletion is permanent. No refund is due upon voluntary termination except within the 7-day refund window described in the Refund Policy.

Termination by ChequeMaster. We reserve the right to deactivate or terminate your license, and/or suspend your account, without notice if:

  • You violate any provision of these Terms.
  • We detect fraudulent, unauthorized, or abusive use of your license or account.
  • You attempt to tamper with or circumvent the licensing and activation mechanism.
  • You initiate a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback against a payment.

Upon termination for cause, your right to use the software ends immediately.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHEQUEMASTER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;
  • ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS;
  • ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR SPECIFIC PRINTER OR HARDWARE. CHEQUEMASTER HAS NOT BEEN TESTED WITH EVERY PRINTER MODEL AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET. YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO VERIFY THAT CHEQUES ARE PRINTED CORRECTLY EARLY AFTER PURCHASE, WITHIN THE REFUND WINDOW;
  • ANY WARRANTY THAT CHEQUES PRINTED USING THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY SPECIFIC BANK OR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION.

You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to verify that printed cheques comply with the requirements of your bank before using them for financial transactions.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ChequeMaster's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid for your license.

In no event shall ChequeMaster be liable for any of the following, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Financial loss resulting from a printed cheque being incorrect, dishonoured, or rejected by a bank due to format, alignment, or data errors.
  • Loss of Your Data resulting from hardware failure, formatting, loss of your computer, or the absence of a backup.
  • Any loss arising from reliance on the software for time-sensitive financial transactions.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under applicable law.

Refunds & Cancellations

Refund and cancellation terms are governed exclusively by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The key points are:

  • A 7-day refund window applies from the date of purchase.
  • Refunds are only available where the software is not functioning properly — for example, a verifiable technical issue that prevents cheque printing.
  • Payments are otherwise non-refundable and non-cancellable once processed.

In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Refund Policy on matters of refunds, the Refund Policy shall take precedence.

Geographic Restrictions

ChequeMaster is designed for use in India and international markets where paper cheques are in active use and follow formats supported by the software.

The software is not designed or optimized for use in the United States or Canada, where cheque and check printing systems differ significantly from those supported. Users from these regions use the software at their own risk, and ChequeMaster makes no representations or warranties regarding compatibility with US or Canadian bank cheque formats.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
  • Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. By using the Service, you consent to this jurisdiction.
  • The parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally before commencing formal legal proceedings. To initiate an informal resolution, contact us at chequemaster.com@gmail.com.

Amendments

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes — those that substantially alter your rights or obligations — we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email or via an in-site notice before the revised Terms take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or, if that is not possible, severed from these Terms. The validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.

The failure by ChequeMaster to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision in the future.
