Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a ChequeMaster license purchase.

Overview

ChequeMaster offers a 7-calendar-day refund period from the date of purchase — strictly for verifiable cases where the Software is not functioning properly, for example where it is technically unable to print cheques correctly on your printer. Requests outside this window are not accepted.

ChequeMaster is desktop software delivered digitally: after purchase you download, install, and activate it on your own Windows computer. Because delivery is immediate, refunds are limited and subject to the conditions described in this policy. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.

This Refund Policy is incorporated into and should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these two documents, this Refund Policy governs on matters of refunds.

Eligibility for a Refund

A refund may be granted only if both of the following conditions are met:

  • Your refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the purchase date; and
  • The Software is not functioning properly — for example, a verifiable technical failure prevents it from printing cheques correctly on your printer despite a reasonable effort to configure your setup, meaning the problem lies with the Software itself and not with user error, printer hardware, or an unsupported configuration.

Dissatisfaction with features, a change of mind, or failure to test the Software before the refund window closes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

Refund Request Period

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of purchase. The clock starts on the date of purchase, regardless of when you first download, install, or activate the Software.

Strictly enforced: Requests submitted after the 7-day window will not be accepted under any circumstances, even where a genuine technical issue is demonstrated.

We recommend installing, activating, and testing cheque printing as early as possible after purchase — ideally on the same day — so that any issue can be identified and reported within the refund window.

System Requirements

ChequeMaster supports Windows 10 and newer versions of Windows. No other operating systems are currently supported.

The Software will not function on unsupported operating systems. Purchasing the Software for use on an unsupported operating system is not grounds for a refund. Please confirm that you are running a supported version of Windows before purchasing.

User Responsibility

ChequeMaster is compatible with most standard office printers — laser, inkjet, deskjet, and all-in-one models. However, given the vast number of printer makes, models, driver versions, and Windows configurations in use, it is not possible for us to guarantee compatibility with every printer configuration.

It is your responsibility to:

  • Install and activate the Software promptly after purchase.
  • Test cheque printing and verify that printed cheques are accurate, legible, and correctly positioned on the cheque paper.
  • Consult our help documentation or contact support if initial attempts produce unexpected results.
  • Confirm your printer driver and print settings before concluding that an issue is caused by the Software.

If you are uncertain whether the Software will work for your requirements or with your printer, we encourage you to contact us before purchasing — our support team is happy to advise.

How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund, contact us through any of the following channels within the 7-day window:

Your refund request must include the following information:

  • Your registered email address.
  • Your license key and the exact date of purchase.
  • A clear description of the technical issue you are experiencing (e.g., misaligned printing, incorrect amount rendering, printer not detected, activation failure).
  • Screenshots or photos of the incorrect output, where possible.
  • The make and model of your printer and your Windows version.

We will review your request and respond within 2–3 business days. We may request additional information or ask you to try specific troubleshooting steps before approving a refund.

Processing Timeline

Once your refund request has been reviewed and approved, the refund will be processed within 7–10 business days. Actual credit to your account may take additional time depending on your bank or payment provider.

We will confirm the approved refund amount and the payment method being used before processing.

Refund Payment Method

India (Domestic Customers). Refunds to customers in India are processed via:

  • UPI transfer (preferred — fastest method)
  • IMPS or NEFT bank transfer

To receive your refund, please share one of the following with us when making your request:

  • Your UPI ID, or
  • Your UPI QR code (screenshot), or
  • Bank account number, IFSC code, and account holder name

International Customers (Outside India). Refunds for customers outside India are processed via international bank transfer (SWIFT/wire transfer), or returned to the original payment method where possible. Please provide the following when requesting your refund:

  • Bank account number
  • SWIFT / BIC code
  • IBAN (if applicable)
  • Account holder name and bank address

International refunds may take longer to process due to inter-bank clearing times, which are outside our control.

Deductions & Charges

The refunded amount will be the price paid, minus the following deductions:

  • Payment gateway processing fees charged by the original payment provider. Payments made through PayPal are subject to PayPal's processing fees, which are non-recoverable from the processor. Payments made by direct bank transfer, UPI, or QR code carry no gateway fee, so no such deduction applies to them. Cashfree: To be added.
  • Bank transfer charges applicable to the refund transaction (particularly for international SWIFT transfers).
  • Any taxes or government levies that were applied at the time of purchase and cannot be reversed.

We do not charge any administrative fee for processing refunds. The deductions listed above reflect costs imposed by third parties and are beyond our control. The net refund amount will be confirmed to you in writing before the refund is processed.

Non-Refundable Situations

A refund will not be issued in any of the following circumstances:

  • The refund request is submitted more than 7 calendar days after the purchase date.
  • The Software is functioning as described and cheques print correctly — you simply no longer wish to use it.
  • The issue is caused by your printer hardware, printer driver, operating system, or an unsupported version of Windows — and not by the Software itself.
  • Your license has been suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms & Conditions.
  • You have initiated a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider without first contacting us to request a refund through this policy. Initiating a chargeback bypasses our process and may result in permanent deactivation of your license.
  • Partial periods of use — refunds are not available on a pro-rated basis.

Chargeback notice: If you dispute a charge with your bank without first contacting us, we will treat this as a breach of these Terms. We strongly recommend contacting us first — we are committed to resolving genuine issues fairly and promptly.
